Today’s Scripture:

Joshua 10:12, NIV

On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon.”

MESSAGE:

One day when Joshua and the Israelite army were fighting a battle late in the day, he knew he wasn’t going to be able to finish the enemy off unless he had more daylight.

JOEL OSTEEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL 15 JANUARY 2021

He could have thought, “Too bad. They’ll escape in the night.” No, he knew he was heavy with God’s favor, so he prayed a bold prayer: “Sun, stand still.” The Scripture says the sun stopped and didn’t go down until Joshua completely defeated the enemy.

Are you praying bold prayers, expecting God to show out in your life? Would you dare do as Joshua did and ask God to do something out of the ordinary to bring those dreams to pass that seem too far out? It may not look logical for an average person, but God is for you. Ask in spite of what the enemy keeps whispering in your ears. If you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to learn this principle of asking big.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You that when the odds are against me, You are for me. Thank You that nothing and no one is more powerful than You, and I can dare to pray bold prayers. I believe that You are going to show out in my life as You did with Joshua. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Please don’t forget to share with your friends and families on social media so they can be blessed and be blessings to others. God bless you

Joel Osteen is an American televangelist, theologian, speaker, and author who attracted millions of followers with his simple and positive sermons and his best-selling books.

He is married to Victoria Osteen and he is the Pastor of Lakewood Church, an America’s largest and fastest-growing church. Joel Osteen ministry is committed to helping people from all walks of life experience the unconditional love and unending hope found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Joel osteen ministries believe that : the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

…in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

…Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

…water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

…in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

…every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

…as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
