Today’s Scripture:

Genesis 50:19–21, NIV

Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?…don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

MESSAGE:

Joseph’s brother stood before him. This could have been his moment of revenge for them selling him into slavery and for the long years of his suffering in prison.

JOEL OSTEEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL 22 NOVEMBER 2020

Their lives were in his hands. But notice that Joseph is going to nourish and care for the ones who did him wrong. He had learned to let God be his vindicator, to forgive and show kindness to those who wronged him, and that God won’t promote us if we’re being vengeful.

It’s easy to hold on to the hurt, to be vindictive and try to pay back people who have hurt us. One test we have to pass is not just to forgive people, but to be good to those who have not been good to us.

JOEL OSTEEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL 22 NOVEMBER 2020

Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good to them…Then your reward will be great.” That’s God seeing if you’re ready to be promoted. When God can trust you to handle favor, influence, and power without using it to be vindictive, He can take you to new levels.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for showing me Your mercy, Your kindness, and Your goodness over and over when I didn’t begin to deserve it. Help me to have a heart that is free from being vindictive. Help me to forgive and do good to those who have done wrong. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Please don’t forget to share with your friends and families on social media so they can be blessed and be blessings to others. God bless you

He is married to Victoria Osteen and he is the Pastor of Lakewood Church, an America’s largest and fastest-growing church. Joel Osteen ministry is committed to helping people from all walks of life experience the unconditional love and unending hope found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Joel osteen ministries believe that : the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

…in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

…Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

…water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

…in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

…every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

…as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
