TOPIC: Don’t Stop – By David Ibiyeomie
You are created to be a light to your world. You are supposed to be at the top; a pace-setter but every outstanding result in life has its roots in understanding. When you seek depth, you naturally scale height without sweat. There is no man of depth that does not go up. You do not have to be fraudulent to make it in life. If you must make news and not noise in this end time, you must keep pressing on.
In 2Kings 2, Elisha refused to settle where Elijah asked him to stay. Many people feel they have arrived as soon as they get their first breakthrough but that place should be the beginning of another phase because the end of a caterpillar is the beginning of a butterfly. Don’t settle for local championship. You belong to the top; why settle?
Thank God for where you are now but it is too low compared to where God is taking you to. What you have now is nothing compared to what God has in stock for you -Rev. 3:17
Do not be possessed with survival mentality and become nonchalant to impact mentality. The dream of acquiring cars and estates is a dream for failures; if you see what is ahead of you, you will not stop moving.
Prov. 4:18 – But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
The perfect day is the day you are to go back to your creator. You are meant to grow from one level of exploit to another until your time on earth is over. What God has for you is an unending progress.
Phil 3:13 – Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Apostle Paul was on a continuous move, forgetting his past achievements and constantly pressing for something better until his time on earth was over. Men of generational impact don’t settle for local championship. Stop thinking that you have arrived; you are only due for a next level. Don’t make where you are a place of comfort.
A person with a global mandate but has only impacted a nation is a failure. A man with a nation-mandate who has only affected a state is a failure.
Life is not to be static but dynamic. There is room for continuous growth. Never get to a point in your life where you feel you have arrived and have nothing else to do. As soon as the rich fool in Luke 12 felt he had arrived, God took his life.
Your potential is not what you have done; it is what you can do but have not yet done. Therefore, whatever you have achieved is not your potential.
Micah 2:10 – Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Every stagnant water stinks, so move and don’t remain at the same spot. There is something your world must benefit from you. Life is not about possession but about contribution. You must have an untiring quest for what to do next; you must be mission and purpose driven in life. You cannot impact your world living a normal life.
Thank God for the job you just got – what next? Thank God for the house you built – what next? Thank God for the estates you have – what next? Please, you must never have a feeling that you have arrived. When you stop making contributions in life, you are merely existing. Many want to earn a living; so they are not ready to work to make impact.
There is no justification for settling where you are now. When you push adequately at one level, God moves you to the next level. So it is your responsibility to push like a woman in a delivery room in the fear of God and then God will move you to the next phase all to the glory of His name.
God bless you as you keep pressing in Jesus name – Amen!
